Loctite® 128500 Gives Structural Strength to Motor Stator

CUSTOMER & END PRODUCT

  • A leading actuator manufacturer, India

SITUATION

  • Stators of Valve Actuator Motors were heat shrink fitted into cast aluminum housing
  • Expensive & time consuming heat shrink method was employed as the cast housing has inherent surface imperfections and shrink fit was expected to give higher metal to metal contact

LOCTITE® SOLUTIONS

  • Loctite® 128500, Single component anaerobic Structural Adhesive with Loctite® Primer 7649

BENEFITS

  • Improved productivity compared to heat shrink method
  • Relaxed tolerances - no need for interference
  • No separate heat oven required
  • Ensures all air gaps are filled and avoid any leakage of magnetic flux
  • Avoid loosening of stator from housing
