Securely Locks Wheel Nuts on Rebuilt Earthmoving Equipment

For over 20 years LCE had been battling a problem with keeping the spindle nuts which use a 5″ socket and have 3-inch fine threads on the wheel assembly from loosening during service. LCE had tried many different methods, including lock nuts and welding. Finally, they called on Loctite for help. Loctite® 294 is a low viscosity, penetrating threadlocker and is ideally suited for pre-assembled fasteners. It fixtures in 10 minutes, fully cures in 24 hours and has a temperature range of -65° F to +400°F. By incorporating Loctite 294 Threadlocker into their assembly procedure, LCE has not had one single occurence of loosening spindle nuts and cost savings to them is tremendous.
