Outperforms Asbestos Gaskets and O-rings

A leading manufacturer of gas and oil fired boilers and boiler systems in Korea was using Asbestos Fiber Gaskets to seal the exhaust cover and O-rings to seal the burner housing. But these gaskets were expensive due to unique shape and size of flanges and they failed to give 100% sealing on flange surfaces and relaxed over time. Also, asbestos is not environment friendly and the customer wanted to move to more environment friendly option. Loctite 5702 Silicone Gasket Maker was successfully tested for this application.
