• Customer used competitor’s sealant to lock and seal blackened steel threads to Cast Iron housing

• The competitor’s sealant failed to perform at higher temperatures and customer also used PTFE tape (as a back-up to work at high temperature)

• Loctite® 246 high temperature threadlocker, tested by customer to 10.5 bar @ 155℃
